Thermal Impressions 200x
Temperature sensitive liquid crystal film displays beautiful patterns created by variations in heat conduction of underlying textured metal tiles.
The exhibit consists simply of loose LC sheets, a warm plate, and several textured metal tiles. The patterns created are fleeting since heat is constantly flowing from warm to cool and the LC film shows the result of that flow.
